CSS Industry Event Registration Terms & Conditions
General
These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants involved in CSS Industry events, including but not limited to attendees, speakers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, partners, panelists, and staff members. By registering for or participating in a CSS Industry event, you agree to comply with the following terms.
CSS Industry reserves the right to change, amend, add, or remove any portion of these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
The opinions, advice, and views expressed by speakers, attendees, sponsors, or vendors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of CSS Industry, its affiliates, staff, or partners. Participants are solely responsible for the content of their presentations, promotional materials, statements, and activities during the event.
Code of Conduct
CSS Industry is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, respectful, and professional environment for all participants. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds and do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or disruptive behavior of any kind.
All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully throughout the event experience, whether in-person, virtual, or through event-related communication platforms.
Expected Behavior
Participants are expected to:
Treat others with professionalism, kindness, and respect.
Be considerate of differing opinions, experiences, and perspectives.
Engage in collaborative and positive interactions.
Use respectful language and communication.
Respect event staff, speakers, sponsors, and attendees.
Follow all venue policies and event instructions.
Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:
Harassment, discrimination, or offensive comments related to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any protected status.
Verbal abuse, intimidation, threats, bullying, or stalking.
Sexual harassment or unwanted advances.
Disruptive behavior during presentations, workshops, networking events, or online sessions.
Sharing another participant’s personal information without consent.
Recording, photographing, screenshotting, or distributing event content without authorization.
Wearing or displaying inappropriate, offensive, or harmful imagery or language.
Possession of illegal substances or weapons at an event venue.
Sharing registration credentials or unauthorized event access.
Any illegal activity or conduct deemed unsafe or inappropriate by CSS Industry.
CSS Industry maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, discrimination, or unsafe conduct. Any participant found engaging in unacceptable behavior may be removed from the event without refund and may be prohibited from attending future CSS Industry events.
If you experience or witness concerning behavior, please notify a CSS Industry team member immediately so the situation can be addressed appropriately.
Event Registration & Attendance
Registration for CSS Industry events is non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by CSS Industry.
Participants are responsible for providing accurate registration information and ensuring payment is completed prior to attending the event.
CSS Industry reserves the right to deny admission or remove any participant whose behavior violates these Terms & Conditions or disrupts the event experience.
Event Cancellation & Changes
CSS Industry reserves the right to modify event schedules, speakers, venues, programming, or formats when necessary.
In the event that CSS Industry must cancel or postpone an event due to unforeseen circumstances, participants may receive a refund, credit, or transfer option at the discretion of CSS Industry.
CSS Industry is not responsible for travel expenses, hotel costs, lost wages, or other expenses incurred due to event cancellation, postponement, or schedule changes.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of participants is important to CSS Industry. Attendees agree to follow any health, safety, or venue requirements communicated before or during the event.
Participants who are feeling ill are encouraged not to attend in-person events.
CSS Industry reserves the right to implement additional health and safety procedures when necessary based on local regulations, venue requirements, or public health guidance.
Liability Waiver & Release
By participating in a CSS Industry event, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with attendance and participation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants release CSS Industry, its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, affiliates, sponsors, and partners from liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, theft, accident, delay, or expense that may occur before, during, or after the event.
Participants acknowledge that they attend events at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings and conduct.
Photography, Video & Media Release
CSS Industry events may be photographed, recorded, livestreamed, or otherwise documented for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes.
By attending a CSS Industry event, you grant permission for your image, likeness, voice, and appearance to be used in photographs, video recordings, social media content, advertisements, websites, publications, and other promotional materials without compensation or additional approval.
This consent applies to both in-person and virtual event participation.
Intellectual Property
All event materials, presentations, branding, graphics, recordings, templates, workshops, and content shared during CSS Industry events remain the intellectual property of CSS Industry or the respective content owner unless otherwise stated.
Participants may not reproduce, distribute, sell, share, or republish event materials without prior written permission.
Virtual Event Disclaimer
Participants accessing virtual CSS Industry events are responsible for maintaining appropriate internet access, devices, and technical capabilities required to participate.
CSS Industry is not responsible for technical interruptions, internet failures, platform outages, or unauthorized third-party access to virtual sessions.
While reasonable security measures are used, CSS Industry cannot guarantee the privacy or security of information transmitted online.
Data Privacy
By registering for a CSS Industry event, participants consent to the collection and use of their information for event administration, communication, marketing, and related business purposes.
CSS Industry will make reasonable efforts to protect participant information and will not intentionally share personal data outside of necessary event operations without consent unless required by law.
Sponsorship & Vendor Participation
Sponsors and vendors participating in CSS Industry events are expected to maintain professional conduct and comply with all event guidelines.
CSS Industry reserves the right to refuse or remove sponsorships, vendor displays, promotional materials, or activations that do not align with the values, professionalism, or standards of the organization.
Agreement
By registering for or attending a CSS Industry event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
